Grace for your spirit
The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore, beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into the harvest. Matthew 9:37
Jesus spoke these words as he taught and healed the distressed and downcast. Their desperate needs touched Him, and He was filled with compassion. What will motivate us to be workers in the harvest? When we really see desperate needs, when our hearts are really filled with compassion, perhaps we will rise up and go into the field. Most organizations work on the principle of 80/20. That is 20% of the people do 80% of the labor. We should not settle for this in the Kingdom of the Lord. Let's allow ourselves to be touch by the Lord, touched by deep needs, and working for both.
