Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time. I Peter 5:6
This is a basic principle seen in all of God's servants. God gave victory in battles when His servants humbled themselves before Him. Even Jesus came to earth in humble circumstances, and His Father exalted Him at just the right time. Many parables address this principle of taking a humble position and allowing God to bring us up. It is a principle of faith that when we obey God's plan, He will come for us at just the right time. Humble trust always looks good on us.
