There is lots of interest in genealogies and family heritage these days. A great family tree can help some to feel significant. The prominent Jews would often argue with Jesus about their connection with the great father of the Jews, Abraham. As a person from the tribe in Judah, Jesus was also of the lineage of Abraham. We may be looking for a great family tree in this world, but the greatest family tree of all is in the family of Jesus Christ. When we are children of the promise, then we are spiritually of the family of Abraham, and heirs of all the promises given to him. We may not enjoy family reunions in this world, but we won't want to miss our spiritual reunion in heaven
