Grace for your spirit
As for man, his days are like grass; As a flower of the field, so he flourishes. When the wind has passed over it, it is no more, and its place acknowledges it no longer. Psalm 103:15-16
One time my mother was in a nursing home for rehabilitation after surgery. She loved the flowers we brought her, but she hated to watch them whither and die. It reminded her that our days are like the flowers. We may be beautiful today, but soon we whither and die. I brought her a bouquet of artificial flowers. She really liked having them around, as they reminded her that the beauty of those flowers are like the soul and spirit of man. They never die, they always look great, and like the lovingkindness of God, never fails nor fades. Let's hold on to the lovingkindness of God. With it, we will never really die.
