Grace for your spirit
I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit. John15:1-2Jesus is the vine, we are the branches. When we abide in Christ and He is us, we will bear much fruit. Our lives will be changed for the better, and we will bring others to Christ. Christ will constantly be pruning us, cutting us back, and disciplining us to bear this fruit. Is this a surprise to us? Have we been going to church for a long time and have missed this experience? Are we committed to Christ, and content with the lives He has given us? Do we look forward to the discipline of the Lord because we know it will make us better disciples? If we aren't living like a branch in Christ, we need to recheck our connection to Him. We cannot bear fruit without that connection. If we aren't a fruitful branch, we will never have anything right to say about the vine. It is time for a fruitful check up.
