Grace for your spirit
Now Joseph, a Levite of Cyprian birth, who was also called Barnabas by the apostles (which translated means Son ofEncouragement), Acts 4:36In the early days of the church, the Christians were under a great persecution. Even though they had the miraculous power of the Holy Spirit, and the apostles, everyone needed encouragement. There was a man, named Barnabas, who fueled the revival in Jerusalem with encouragement by word and deed. Later they would send him to the Antioch church to encouragement them to remain faithful to the Lord. When the apostle Paul was rejected by the other apostles, it was Barnabas that encouraged them to accept him. Encouragement is the fuel of revival. We may have the Holy Spirit dwelling in us, and know the Word of God from start to finish, but without encouragement, it may come to nothing. Look around and see who needs a boost among you. A word fitly spoken can motivate others to do great things for the Lord. One of the greatest compliments that can be paid to us, is to be labeled "Barnabas". Let's seek for a Barnabas for ourselves, and then be one for someone else. Let's fuel a revival and God will get the glory.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit
