Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree. Galatians 3:13
The Law was given to man because he was a sinner. Through the Law came the knowledge of sin, but it supplied nothing to bring forgiveness or victory over the power of sin. In every part of life under the Law, man found himself falling short of God’s glory and condemned. Christ became sin for us, bore the curse for us, and redeemed us all from that curse. Because Jesus went to the cross, we can be free the penalty, power, and guilt of sin permanently. May none of us struggle under the curse of law and sin. The curse is taken away, so may we may live free in Christ.
