Suppose you had the most powerful car in the world, and had access to the best fuel every invented. Then you put the wrong fuel in the car. The best car won’t run on the wrong fuel. The same is true with our lives. God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Christ for life and godliness. He has His Holy Spirit available for us to perform at the highest level. When we resist and reject that Spirit and replace Him with the spirits of the world, we won’t run right either. The next time we find ourselves sitting silently on the side of the road, check the fuel.
