Grace for your spirit
For I long to see you in order that I may impart some spiritual gift to you, that you may be established; that is, that I may be encouraged together with you while among you, each of us by the other’s faith, both yours and mine. Rom 1:11-12
The apostle Paul looked forward to his trip to Rome with great anticipation. He knew he was bringing some great spiritual gifts for them, and they would be of great encouragement to him as well. He was excited, and I can just imagine they were too, when they read the letter. How much would our worship services improve if we all came together with this attitude. If we all longed for the Lord’s day and the spiritual enrichment we would each bring to share, there would surely be an explosion in our assemblies. Well, we need an explosion. Let’s fill our cups and come to build one another up.
