Grace for your spirit
But He turned and said to Peter, "Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on God's interests, but man's." Matthew 16:23
Talk about a spiritual roller coaster ride. A moment before this, Jesus had just given Peter a blessing for his understanding about the Christ. At that moment Peter had his mind on godly things, but look how fast his focus changed. When Peter heard something he didn't like and would affect him personally, he started to rebuke Jesus. Peter went from blessed to Satan and a stumbling block is a flash. When we put Jesus first in our lives, it will help us to put first in our thoughts too.
