Grace for your spirit
Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. I Peter 1:13
As we walk the Christian life, we are easily distracted from the great tasks we have before us. It is hard to turn from the lusts of the world and fix our lives completely on Jesus Christ. We must be sober in spirit, and ready for action. What kind of action figure are we today? Kids play with action figures like G.I. Joe, Power Rangers, and Transformers. On the other end of action figures are Barbie, Ken, My little mermaid, and my little pony. Are we transformed, filled with power, and ready for battle with the Devil, or we concerned with our hair and what we will wear? Let's prepare for battle. That's what God calls us to do.
