Lord, when you went our from Seir, when you marched from the field of Edom, the earth quaked, the heavens also dripped, even the clouds dripped water. The mountains quaked at the presence of the Lord. Judges 5:4-5
Deborah and Barak, judges of Israel had a big big problem. Their enemies had 900 iron chariots, and they didn't even have a spear or a sword. The Canaanites oppressed them for twenty years. God called them to attack Canaan, and He told them He would help them and give them victory. History records that when the battle began, earthquakes and storms blew in the faces of the enemy, and the were routed. Here Israel sang a song of victory and thanksgiving to the Lord. When God says He will help, He will really help. When the odds are against us, let's count on the Lord to make a way for us too.
