Grace for your spirit August 20, 2008

Serving the Lord with all humility and with tears and with trials which came upon me through the plots of the Jews; how I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, and teaching you publicly and from house to house, Acts 20:19-20

The apostle Paul was a marked man. Everywhere he went he had opposition. The Jews, the Gentiles, the Christians, and the Romans didn’t trust him. Paul was given a commission to preach the good news of Jesus, but it was never easy. It was revealed to him what was profitable for people to obey the Lord, and he committed his life to getting that done. What is our focus? Are we focused enough and humble enough to overcome the trials that come our way? May we not shrink back from what we know is true because of difficulties. The lost world needs the good news.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit
Philippians 4:23
