Grace for your spirit
For this reason I remind you to kindle afresh the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. II Tim 1:6
The Lone Ranger had Tonto, the Apostle Paul had Timothy. Often Timothy was sent, and left in very difficult circumstance by Paul. As a young man Paul knew the it would be easy for Timothy to be timid, fearful, and ashamed. He knew Timothy had the flame of the Holy Spirit within him, but he also knew that flame would have to be fanned everyday to keep the fire going. As disciples, we have the divine nature in us as well, but the pitfalls are still the same. We need to kindle afresh the gift that God has granted to us. Feeling a little timid, fearful, and ashamed today? Fan the flame!
