Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel of honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work. II Timothy 2:21
The book of James tells us that true faith works, and faith that doesn't work is dead. We begin with faith, and works follow if we are diligent in our Christian walk. Often the lusts of the flesh turn our lives in the wrong way, and we end up useless. We need to constantly allow Christ to cleanse us, so we might be useful. It doesn't take long for a pot in the kitchen to become useless if we're not careful. May we be the number one pot on the Lord's stove.
