Then the men became extremely frightened and they said to him, "How could you do this?" For the men knew that he was fleeing from the presence of the Lord, because he had told them. Jonah 1:10
Jonah didn't want to go to Ninevah and help save his enemies. Instead he caught a ship going the other way. Out in the ocean with a ship full of sailors, they all feared for their lives because of a violent storm. It was the disobedient prophet that caused the storm. What a poor witness was given by Jonah to let them know that his rebellion was the cause of the threatening. What is the reason for the storm we are in? May we pray our disobedience doesn't hurt the people in the world we have been sent to help. Let's stay in God's will, and not run the other way
