I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth. Revelation 3:15-16
Jesus appreciated His disciples that were hot for Him. He also understood those who rejected Him, were stone cold, and did nothing. The thing that really made Him sick, were the ones who were hot one day and cold the next. The lukewarm church member. The tepid, indifferent, apathetic, half-hearted, wishy-washy, uncommitted church member, made Him vomit. The things that make Jesus sick, do the same things to our brothers and sisters in Christ. The world enjoys the lukewarm church member. It gives them somebody to ridicule and call a hypocrite. Let’s choose hot.
