BELIEF STATEMENT
We are a fellowship of believers in Christ who believe in one all powerful, all knowing, ever present God. We believe the Bible is God's inspired word, and provides our only standard of right and wrong.
We believe that Jesus Christ, God's Son, died for our sins all the cross, was buried, and rose from the dead for our justification. We believe that mankind is lost without the saving blood of Jesus and that He is the only way to the Father
We believe that saving faith includes repentance, and baptism for the forgiveness of our sins. We believe the baptized believer is a member of the Lord's church and the kingdom of God.
We believe that the Christians should worship properly and share the good news of Jesus until He returns with out heavenly reward
At worship you may expect joyous acappella singing, prayers, communion services, and a lesson from the Bible every Sunday Expect our worship to be warm, uplifting, and orderly, praising the Lord.
Everyone is always welcome. We hope you will be spiritually enriched by your worship visit

Grace for your spirit
Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing....Philippians 4:5-6
Do we want to be free from anxiety, fighting, and have peace? Four little words will help us with our challenge. "The Lord Is near." When we keep the Lord near to us, we will not need to have bold displays of strength, and we can be gentle to all. We won't have to be afraid, anxious, or worried, because with the prayer of thanksgiving, we can give our troubles to God. Remembering that the Lord is near will give us the walk of peace in every dark valley. As a kid, I had a big street tough cousin in Chicago. There was no dark alley that scared me when I was with him. Without him, I stayed inside. Our God is greater. "Yea though I walk through the valley and shadow of death, I will fear no evil for Thou art with me." I shall not want. Hallelujah!

Jesus answered and said to them, "Go and report to John what you hear and see. The Blind receive sight and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, the dead are raised uup and the poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is he who does not take offense at Me. Matthew 11:4-6
When John the Baptist was in prison, he begin to doubt if this Jesus he was following was the real thing or not. He wondered why he was in prison and if he should be searching for someone else. Jesus answered his questions with the power of the Holy Spirit working in Him. This was the proof to give John hope even in troubled times. There are people who would removed all the miracles and movement of the Holy Spirit out of the Bible. Then they can make Jesus anybody they want Him to be. Let's look to the power of His spirit to confirm that He really is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. It helped John the Baptist, and it sure helps us too. It will keep us all from stumbling.

Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect. Matthew 5:48
Do you ever get tired of people reading the Bible and then saying, "Well, it doesn't mean that?" Why would Jesus tell us that we need to be perfect like our heavenly Father, if He didn't mean it and think it could be accomplished? Jesus wants all of us to reach maturity, be complete, and attain perfection. We certainly cannot accomplish this with our own effort, but it can be done with God. When we understand the righteousness that comes from God in Christ, we can know His righteousness makes us righteous. With His righteousness greater than our sins, and His grace abounding, perfection comes from Him.

I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me, and I in Him, he bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing. John 15:5
Jesus gives us a very simple picture from the vineyard, and applies it to our spiritual growth. The vine is the part of the plant that draws the nourishment from the earth and sends it out to the branches. If the branches are connected to the vine, they will most likely flourish. If the branch is somehow disconnected, the branch will wither and die. With the grapevine, once the branch is properly nourished, it will not only grow healthy abundant fruit, but the branches will begin to look like the vine. The analogy to the believer and Jesus is rather simple. In the kingdom, Jesus is the vine and supplies all the spiritual nourishment to His branches, that is us. When we stay connected we will bear much fruit, and at maturity we will begin to look like Jesus. Let's allow God to tend us and prune us, so we can make the journey to maturity bearing much fruit for the Lord

But realize this that in the last days difficult times will come. for men will be lovers of self....II Timothy 3:1-2
Loving ourselves would seem to be a good thing, but in fact in can be very destructive. Loving ourselves puts us in the center of all things, usually way ahead of God and everyone else. It is the cause of both high self esteem and low self esteem. It most certainly leads to the vast list of sins that follows in these verses. Loving money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, gossips, without self control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure, rather than lovers of God. All that can come from a lover of self? The best esteem to have is Christ esteem. Make Him first in our lives, instead of holding just a form of godliness. It will help us get through the difficult days in this world.

Again Jesus spoke to them saying, " I am the light of the world; he who follows Me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life. John 8:12
I love daylight savings time. In the warm months it is light until 9 or 10 and my neighborhood changes drastically. People spend more time outside without the fear of the things that take place in the darkness. In the dead of winter, people are locked in with their pajamas on and ready for bed at 6:00. Jesus gives us a spiritual light year around. We need have no fear of the deeds done in darkness, for He lights our path constantly. All we have to do is follow Him and we not only have light, but we can know we are on the way home with Him. Let's commit to walk in the light as He is in the light, and have fellowship with Him.
